Thanks to everyone that participated this year, every year it gets harder to decide, this year I contemplated just ending it altogether. Financially it's hard, emotionally it's harder. I'm going to keep doing this despite how hard it is because everyone out there keeps making art. And after the 90's were sick of us, the zine crowd isn't really getting much recognition. And they should be.
We have this odd collection of social activists, and poets, painters, and photographers, writers and designers, cartoonist and journalists... all united around one form of expression, PRINT, mistakenly often thought of as outdated and antiquated.
Printed work smells nice. It feels nice. It's affordable and portable, and enables people from around the world to share the way they see the world with strangers. That's pretty awesome if you ask me.
Thanks for doing this.
