Lost in Eugene

My girlfriend, Shannon, has a friend, Brett Arrington, who once said that if you didn’t know where you were going, you’d end up in Eugene, Oregon. And I have rarely heard a truer statement. I had family in Eugene, but when I first moved there was during a time when I didn’t know what to do next with my life. I’ve constantly met people who ended up there with no plan. It draws you in so easily. It’s walkable, everything you need is nearby, the weather is nice if you like overcast days and rain, which I do, it’s beautiful… and you’ll wake up one day and realize you’ve been there for 10 years and done nothing with your life. Eugene, Oregon is a trickster of a town.
