One manuveur I used several times was to pretend to be blood-lust crazy, people would back off quick and step away from me. It adds to the authenticity if other people fall for it and grab your arms to hold you back. Another one was to confuse them. I called them other people's names and told them about experiences we had that never happened. I thought these techniques would be helpful to someone who is trying not to get beat up.
