About a month before the global pandemic stopped international travel, my girlfriend bought us tickets to Rome as a birthday surprise. This was no small feat. But she had to break the news a few weeks later when all flights were cancelled. So instead of Rome we worked from home for 2 years…

Finally the pandemic was “over”, we were vaxxed and boosted, we wore our masks, and we went to Italy!

It was amazing… for the first week of the heavily planned two week trip. I started to feel sick and it hit me pretty hard and then hit her. Covidfucking-19. In Italy. After waiting years for this trip. We had to cancel stops in several cities and got stuck in a hotel.

When I was there I had an idea for this zine.
